In May and June Johan Oost (project officer World Water Academy) executed a Training of Trainers course for a number of PhD-students. The PhD students executed their research work in the Adaptive Delta Management project. Additionally they are going to train local governmental officers in Bangladesh and Indonesia to adapt the results of the PhD researches in practice. The PhD students will transfer the scientific results in a practical training programme in 2017. This Training of Trainers programme is aimed to raise awareness of being a trainer and provide them the first tools. The training programme also included communication and a Pitch training.
The World Water Academy formed a research consortium with Delft University, University of Twente and Utrecht University in a NWO (Netherlands Science Organisation) project on Adaptive Delta Management. The three international PhD students come from Bangladesh and Indonesia and will do research on social models. The courses will be developed and provided both in Bangladesh and Indonesia.
