AquaDactics was launched in November of 2015 with a movie during the Dutch trade mission to South Africa in November 2015.
Aquadactics established by World Water Academy (WWA). The non-profit organisation is active in South Africa and focuses on training design and support. Training of trainers and the development of practice oriented curricula are the core business.
AquaDactics trains the trainers. Thus, the water professionals are able to transfer their knowledge and know-how to colleague professionals. The motto of AquaDactics is ‘Learn today, apply tomorrow' and is, just like World Water Academy ‘for professionals, by professionals'.
Why South Africa, why now, and where are we located?
World Water Academy has cooperated in several projects in South Africa since 2007, varying in level and subject. The result is a broad network in South Africa and marketable products in water management, wastewater treatment, water supply and didactic skills. Apart from that, WWA has acquired ample knowledge on the topics of legislation, regulation and accreditation.
By now, the product ‘didactic skills' has been sold. South Africa has shown an interest in the
public as well as the private sector. The water sector does realise that the (treatment) installations will only deliver along specifications when management is in order.
For now, AquaDactics is a virtual organisation with a website and a postal address in South Africa. In the near future and with enough assignments, we will employ locals and train them to be trainers.
