So on a day-to-day basis, weak links must be recognized and adequate measures should be taken in case of a threatening failure.

This course focus on the your role as dike inspector, who has the good view of the dike conditions and potential weaknesses of the dike. The knowledge gained in the course Basic knowledge of Water retaining structures will be transferred in the day-to-day dike inspection routine. The participants can execute the visual dike inspection on various dikes with each its own character. And according to the regulations set by the water authorities. Also the communication with the water authorities and some simple repairs during the inspection are part of this course.
